One More Mission

If you need a hand, ask. If you have one to give, there is a neighbour close by waiting on it.

Why this exists

The need is usually simple

A woman in her seventies had a new water heater sitting in her garage, still in the box. Her son had bought it. The plumber wanted six hundred and fifty dollars to put it in, and she did not have it, so for three weeks she heated water on the stove to wash up.

Two miles away a man with a pipe wrench had a free Saturday and no idea she existed. That gap is the whole reason we are here. We close it.

More about the project

A tank in the garage. A wrench two miles away. Nothing in between.

We are not a charity fund and we are not contractors. We are neighbours with tools, trucks, trades and time, and a list of people who need them.

How it works

Four steps, start to finish

Ask

Tell us what you need in your own words. It takes about five minutes and it costs nothing.

We read it

A person on our team reads every request, usually the same day. Nothing is posted publicly until they say yes.

Someone steps up

The mission goes on the board. A volunteer offers to take it, and we approve the match before anyone is given your address.

The work gets done

They call you, agree a time, and come do it. You can follow the whole thing with your tracking code.

Go. Serve. Make Disciples.

You do not need to be a tradesman

Some missions need a licensed plumber. Some need a truck. Some need nothing but somebody willing to sit and drink a cup of coffee with a widower on a Tuesday afternoon. Tell us what you can do and we will find the mission that fits.
